Little Waltham Drama Group

Newsletter October 2025
So, the clocks have gone back and the trees are turning beautiful colours. I’ve just come back from a lovely sunny Autumnal walk with Star (our Associate Member dog 😊) and thought I would write the Newsletter before getting on with costumes and props for the Panto. I do hope you too are enjoying time doing things that make you happy.
The Committee met earlier this week and as always below are items for your information.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
Thank you to those of you who have paid your subscriptions already it really does make a difference to us when funding our next show so do please make sure you have paid. It really is great value for money (£25 a year is actually just 48p a week!!).

Rehearsals are really such great fun and everyone is already off script for some of the time. We are also working hard on the songs and choreography, and it is all coming together nicely.
We took a pause in our rehearsal for half term and many of us spent the time up at the Hall working on backstage things such as costumes, sound, lighting and set build (as the photos show). As always there was a lovely atmosphere with everyone working hard to get essential (often unseen by the audience) things done.
Tickets will be going on sale on November 24th (www.littlewalthamdrama.com) and the show dates are:
Matinee Performances 18th & 24th January 2026
Evening Performances 21st – 24th January 2026
So – don’t delay when they come out and spread the word far and wide to your families, friends, people in queues and anyone else you can so that we can play to full houses.

CHRISTMAS GET TOGETHER
Just a reminder that Louise is kindly hosting our Christmas Get Together at her house on Monday, December 15th at 7.30pm.
Her address can be obtained from any Committee member.

COULD IT BE YOU?
Thoughts are now turning to our 2026 Spring/Summer Show.
So – if there’s anyone out there who would be willing to both suggest a play/musical/sketch show/Murder Mystery or indeed something else. Support and help will be given to whoever is willing to do this for our group.
If you have an idea and are willing to have a go then please let Hugh know before our next Committee Meeting which will be on November 25th.

Below are just a few photos of the ‘backstage’ sessions. Note that Jan (who actively hides for photos) was so intent on what she was doing she didn’t even realise that her photo was being taken – sorry Jan 😊

AND FINALLY…If you have anything that you wish to be included in our next Newsletter then do let me know at lallie.godfrey@outlook.com
